“Mayhem and Foolishness”

OK, confession time.  I love the show Clean House on the Style Network.  For those of you who don’t know the show, it is about people who fill their life with CLUTTER.  Their houses look like, well…a junk yard.  The point of the show is for the “Clean House” team to come in, help the people sell all of their “clutter” in a garage sale, then take that money and redo the house.

During EVERY episode, the show’s host has a “heart to heart” with the family.  In every situation, the “clutter” is a manifestation of something INSIDE of them that they need to rid themselves of.  In many instances, it is about the death of someone precious to them.  Sometimes it is a divorce or a serious illness.

I’m not sure what I enjoy most about the show ~ sharing the JOY of people getting their lives in order, or the spunky-cool hostess, Niecy Nash.

Here’s my point…

MySpace is FULL of all kinds of “Mayhem and Foolishness” (that is how Niecy refers to “clutter” LOL).  Many of us are “broken” in some way and we bring our “brokenness” here.  We clutter up the place and wreak all kinds of havoc.  Some of us DEMAND that our “clutter” is given the utmost attention, while others of us spend a lot of time trying to make sure that everyone sees someone else’s clutter so that no one will notice our own.

MANY here are TRYING to “clean their house” while others keep trying to bring their “junk” back in. What’s up with that?

As Christians, we are called to LOVE. (it IS that simple)….

It [LOVE] is not rude, it [LOVE] is not self-seeking, it [LOVE] is not easily angered, it [LOVE] keeps no record of wrongs. [1 Corinthians 13:5]

Who wants a clean “house”?

a note from gina…

PLEASE pardon my 'mess'... I'm still fine-tuning the graphics and the content and, well... Let's just say I shouldn't have invited "company" in just yet, but I got too excited!

That said...I am so glad you're here!!
